Day 1: The Road to Shardah

  • Our journey begins in the early hours from Islamabad, leaving the city lights behind as we head towards Azad Kashmir. The drive is a beautiful transition from the plains to the winding mountain roads of the Neelum Valley. Along the way, we’ll witness the roaring Neelum River and stop at the majestic Dhani Waterfall to feel the fresh mountain mist. This day is all about the "transition", leaving the stress of daily life and preparing our hearts for the serenity of the mountains.
  • By late afternoon, we will reach the historic town of Sharda. After checking into our riverside hotel, we’ll visit the ancient Sharda Peeth, a site that stands as a silent witness to centuries of history. As the sun sets behind the peaks, we will offer our Maghrib prayers by the riverbank, followed by a warm group dinner. This first night in the cool valley air is perfect for our first "U-turn" session, where we reflect on the intention of our journey and the majesty of the Creator.

Day 2: The Last Village – Journey to Taobat

  • After an early breakfast and a short Quranic reminder to start our day with Barakah, we’ll swap our coasters for 4x4 jeeps. The road to Taobat is a rugged adventure, taking us through some of the most untouched landscapes in Pakistan. We will pass through dense forests and small wooden bridges where the air is pure and the water is crystal clear. This journey deeper into the valley is a reminder of how vast and diverse Allah’s earth is, far away from the artificial noise of modern life.
  • Taobat is the very last village before the border, a place where time seems to stand still. We’ll spend the day exploring its lush fields and sitting by the river where the water is at its most vibrant blue. We’ll offer our prayers in the local village masjid, connecting with the simple, hospitality-filled life of the mountain people. Staying overnight in Taobat is a rare experience; the lack of light pollution means we’ll witness a sky crowded with stars, offering a perfect moment for personal Dua and reflection.

Day 3: Arang Kel – The Fairytale in the Clouds

  • We’ll bid farewell to the peaceful plains of Taobat and head back toward Kel, where a different kind of magic awaits. To reach our destination, we’ll hop onto the famous Dolangi Chairlift, soaring high above the river. Once across, we begin a 45-minute hike through a thick, whispering pine forest. The trail is a bit of a climb, but it serves as a physical metaphor for the effort we put into our spiritual growth, the higher we go, the clearer the perspective becomes.
  • As we reach the top, the trees open up to reveal the breathtaking meadows of Arang Kel. Known as the "Fairytale Village," it is a place of unbelievable green beauty and peace. We’ll spend the afternoon wandering through the village, watching the clouds roll over the distant peaks of Nanga Parbat. Our final night will be spent in cozy wooden cottages; we’ll gather around a bonfire for a heart-to-heart session about brotherhood and our path back to Allah, falling asleep in the deepest silence of the clouds.

Day 4: The Descent & The Journey Home

  • Our final morning starts with a sunrise that you’ll remember for a lifetime. After a traditional Kashmiri breakfast, we’ll have a final group Dua in the meadows, asking Allah to keep our hearts as clean as the mountain air we’ve breathed. We’ll hike back down to Kel, feeling a sense of accomplishment and a bit of sadness to leave, but carrying the peace of the mountains within us.
  • The drive back to Islamabad includes stops at the scenic Kutton Waterfall and the Jagran Power House, allowing us to soak in the last bits of Kashmir’s beauty. As we re-enter the city by late evening, the goal is to return not just with photos, but as changed individuals. This 4-day escape was designed to be a spiritual reset, reminding us that no matter how far we wander into the world, the road back to our Creator is always open and beautiful.
