Day 2: Kachura Lakes and Soq Valley

  • We start our day with Fajr prayer, followed by a short session for Quranic reminders and teachings. After breakfast, we board the coaster for Skardu Valley. Our first stop is Shangrila Resort, also known as Lower Kachura Lake. This famous heart-shaped lake is a private resort built with unique Chinese-style architecture.
  • Next, we visit Upper Kachura Lake, a stunning natural lake sitting high among the mountains. You can enjoy boating, jet skiing, or even a zipline here. Afterward, we head to Soq Valley for a short break to have tea and snacks by the riverside.
  • We will check into our hotel in Skardu city for dinner and a night stay. We encourage everyone to keep up with their Salah throughout the day.

  • Next, we visit Shigar Valley and the historic Shigar Fort. This fort was built in the 17th century by the Raja of the Amacha Dynasty and shows the deep heritage of the region. We will also visit the peaceful Blind Lake and stop at the Cold Desert. In this high-altitude desert, you can enjoy a safari, motor gliding, or a horse ride.

  • Following Fajr and our morning reminders, today is a day for a rugged off-road adventure. You can choose between two amazing places.
  • If you choose Deosai Plains, you will visit the "Roof of the World." This is the highest plateau in the world and home to the Himalayan Brown Bear. You will see Sheosar Lake, a giant lake that looks like a mirror on top of the mountain.
  • If you choose Bashu Valley, you will experience a peaceful green valley with a clear stream flowing through the middle. It is the perfect place to sit quietly and feel connected to your Creator.
  • We return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and rest. We will make sure to stop for all prayers during our adventure.
